About the Organization
The Ironwood Project is a not-for-profit organization based in Halton Hills, Ontario dedicated to improving the lives of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. The Ironwood project holds weekly meetings for survivors, monthly meeting for partners/spouses/supporters and runs various events throughout the year.
In addition to our current mandate our future goals include more community outreach, disclosure training and prevention training. Our long-term goals include growing the Ironwood Project to be available in more communities.
The Ironwood Project is a registered charity that is led by a volunteer board of directors. This is a Governance Board of Directors, that delegates the operational responsibilities to the Director of Programming / Board Members / Founders and volunteer Facilitators.
About the Role
Ironwood is seeking a dynamic, experienced individual to join the Board of Directors as the Director of fundraising. The Director of fundraising will be responsible for managing current fundraising strategies while planning and developing future events and projects to help ensure the sustainability of the Ironwood Project and to assist with funding future initiatives.
Role Responsibilities 
Attend Board quarterly board meetings
Develop fundraising campaigns / initiatives Where appropriate attend fund raising, volunteer, awareness and outreach functions
Work collaboratively with the Board members to develop and execute a road map for future goals / mandates
Qualification & Competencies
Passion for the mission and values of the Ironwood Project
Understanding of Non- Profit charitable organizations
Experience in fundraising initiatives Ability to work collaboratively
Excellent strategic thinking, planning and communication skills
Active relationship-builder who can cultivate and strengthen relationships
Term and Commitment
Two-year, volunteer board term with opportunity for renewal
Ironwood Board meets a minimum of 4 times per year, at least 2 of those meetings in person at Ironwood
