the resource project

A guide for professionals

How The Resource Project can support the parents, caregivers and families you work with

The Resource Project is a free Canadian guide for parents, caregivers and family members supporting a child, teen or adult child affected by childhood sexual abuse. Resources are available online, 24 hours a day, at no cost.

Inside The Resource Project, families will find evidence-informed information about responding to a disclosure, navigating police and child protection systems, understanding trauma, finding support, and supporting their child's healing.

The Resource Project was created to give families clear, practical information during a time that can feel overwhelming. Professionals can share the complete resource or direct families to the information most relevant to what they are navigating right now.

The Resource Project provides education, practical guidance and connections to support. It does not replace medical care, legal advice, mental-health treatment, child protection services or emergency assistance.
